The younger sister of Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu and a Reserve Course Student at Hope's Peak Academy. She is a key subject in the Twilight Syndrome Murder Case featured in _Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair_ and later in _Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School - Despair Arc_.
Natsumi is described as mean, arrogant, smug, and egotistical, but with a subtle way of making people do what she wants. Her family, including Fuyuhiko, believes Natsumi to be more worthy of being the Yakuza heiress than her brother, and she is said by her parents to be more violent than him as well. The Clan even believes that Natsumi is the reincarnation of her deceased uncle, the strongest Kuzuryuu in history. She was given the chance to take her brother's place, but she declined; she doesn't wish to lead the Clan, as she believes she's so amazing because she's Fuyuhiko's sister.
In spite of how she acts, Natsumi is rather insecure, and while she can threaten people, it's implied she isn't truly serious about it. After Fuyuhiko began attending Hope's Peak Academy, Natsumi felt left behind and began calling herself the "Ultimate Little Sister". Even though she wasn't scouted for the Main Course, she never gave up hope and convinced herself that if she just works hard enough, she can be scouted and join her brother one day— even though she knew that's basically impossible.
~!Natsumi had been bullying Mahiru Koizumi since they were in the photography club together at their old school, and still did at the academy. As the conflict escalated, Mahiru's close friend and previous fellow club member, Satou, finally went to confront Natsumi. Satou claimed that she was just going to talk to her, but before she knew it, she strangled Natsumi until she lost consciousness; so before the situation could get worse, Satou killed her.
Natsumi's death was later avenged by Fuyuhiko, who killed Satou in revenge.!~
